The conference is organized within the 2024–2026 research project “Cross-Border Cooperation of Kazakhstan with Neighboring Countries of Central Asia”, supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The project provides the principal research and organizational framework for the conference and its comparative study of cross-border cooperation.

Association for Borderlands Studies (ABS)
The Association for Borderlands Studies supports the participation of students and early-career researchers in the conference through three individual travel or accommodation grants of up to US$500 each.
