SDU University (Suleyman Demirel University before 2023) is a private, internationally oriented university located in the Almaty region. It has a strong English-medium profile and a growing research record. The university offers modern campus infrastructure in a scenic setting with views of the Alatau Mountains.
SDU enrolls around 8,000 students across undergraduate and graduate programmes. Most degree programmes are taught in English, ensuring a large pool of students and junior staff who can work directly with international participants.
The university is ranked among the top ten universities in Kazakhstan based on Scopus-indexed publication indicators. In September 2023, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited SDU during a working trip to the Almaty region, which may be seen as an indirect recognition of the university’s role in the national higher education landscape.
A key institutional feature of SDU is its strong commitment to academic integrity. The university is a member of Kazakhstan’s League of Academic Integrity, which promotes common standards for citation practices, plagiarism prevention, and ethical conduct in teaching and research. In the 2025–26 academic year, SDU University serves as the chair institution of the League, indicating the level of trust it enjoys among Kazakhstani universities in matters of academic honesty.
The organising team is based at the School of Social Sciences, Business and Law, providing an institutional base for the conference and supporting the organisers’ ongoing coordination.
